C32 MW wins at the 32nd Volta ao Algarve à Vela 2025!

The Vela Solidale team, led by skipper Luis Brito aboard Corsaro dell’Arade, claimed first place at the 32nd Volta ao Algarve à Vela, held from July 31 to August 3 between Lagos and Tavira, with stopovers in Portimão and Albufeira. The regatta, the most prestigious sailing event in the southern part of the country, featured 27 competing boats.

Corsaro dell’Arade is an inclusive sailing yacht that, throughout the race, carried adapted sailing athletes Guilherme Ribeiro and Pedro Reis on board—both three-time World Championship podium finishers in the RS Venture class—further reinforcing Vela Solidale’s commitment to inclusion.

According to skipper Luis Brito:

“It was a difficult regatta in terms of wind conditions, a real challenge for the team, but we achieved the best performance ever for Corsaro dell’Arade. This result is an excellent test to develop an even more competitive program next year.”
